The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

My family and I moved to Florida about 4 years ago when my husband, Tim, took an opportunity with Darden Restaurants headquartered in Orlando. Prior to Floridian life, we both worked at The Hershey Company near our hometowns of Carlisle and Boiling Springs. We now have two lovely, active daughters who enjoy parties, piano & princesses. They may be two eligible Penn Staters yet! Some of my best Penn State memories include life in co-ed Beaver Hall as an active International Language House French speaker. It seemed the whole campus & downtown was within steps of that dorm. I enjoyed serving on the LA VIE yearbook staff at the HUB, sharing meals in Pollock halls with all the football players & sororities and strolling down to McLanahan's for that last-minute sundry. Beaver Hall was also within easy walking distance to Sunday worship at either the downtown Lutheran or Methodist churches. Life sure was simple. My semester abroad as a School of Communications Manchester scholar was by far the most memorable time in college. Excellent access to academics, internships, BBC Northwest and Granada TV. We miss our families in PA but are learning to winter well in Florida!
